MEET OUR TEAM

STEVE

Steve has been in the motor trade since 1968 – boasting 51 years’ industry experience. Although now retired, he can be found in our workshop where he enjoys working on his beloved HQ and HK Holdens. He is also the ‘brain’s trust’ for the earlier, classic vehicles that we service.

KAREN

Karen (“Kaz”) is Steve’s daughter, Neal’s sister and is affectionately known as ‘Boss Lady’ around the workshop. Karen has been involved with the business since 1998 and manages the office and the day-to-day operations of the workshop. Karen is usually the person who answers the phone and will help you with your appointment bookings and enquiries. Also devoted to her family, she is married with three children who like to visit the workshop during school holidays.

SHERYL

One time manager of our office prior to handing the reins to Karen, Steve’s wife Sheryl is now retired but still pops in from time to time for a coffee and to pick up a customer or go on a ‘parts run’.

JOHN

A member of Steve Purse Automotive since 2015, John is our mechanic who came to us from a multi-car dealership in Goulburn. John has 50 years’ experience in the motor trade and is a Ford master technician who also has significant experience with most other makes and models.

JAYDEN

Jayden became a full-time team member in 2018 as our workshop 2IC. Jayden has 20 years of experience in the mechanical trade and is very knowledgeable on a variety of makes and models of vehicles. He spent many years with another local workshop and is therefore very familiar with the day-to-day operations of our workshop.

JOSH

Josh is our second-year apprentice who has an incredible passion for cars. He completed his first year at TAFE with wonderful results and his practical work is equally good. He has a natural ability for mechanical work and is keen to continue learning. He is quickly becoming a great tradesman.
