  • I have a brand new car and I’m coming up on my date for an oil change and fluid check. Can I bring my car to you instead of the dealership?

    Yes We Can!

  • What does it mean when my ‘Check Engine’ light comes on? My car sounds fine – do I need to worry?

There are many sensors and computerised components that manage your vehicle’s engine performance. When one of these fails, the ‘check engine’ light is engaged. Although your car may seem to run fine, it is important to have the issue checked just in case. Bring your car into Steve Purse Automotive so that we can determine why the light has engaged.

  • Do I really have to have my oil changed every 10,000KM?

The additive in motor oil starts to break down as soon as it heats up to high temperatures, which is almost every time you drive it. We find that the 10 000km mark is a good point to have your engine oil replaced. Steve Purse Automotive will be happy to change both your oil as well as the oil filter, so as not to let deteriorated oil left in the old filter mix with the new oil.

  • What kind of maintenance should I be doing on my car and when should I be doing it?

There are different timetables for different areas and systems of your car – all of which should be listed in your owner’s manual. The good news is that Steve Purse Automotive can take care of all of your automotive maintenance needs – saving you money that you might have otherwise spent either at the dealership or on more serious repairs due to lack of maintenance.

  • I have a service or repair need that I don’t see listed on the website. Can you still help me?

If you require a service or a specific repair that you don’t see listed on the website, give us a call right away. Once you explain what it is you need, we will likely be able to help you. Call today!
